We
set up the shura in communities where the
traditional community structures for community
leaders have been damaged or dissolved through
decades of conflict. We refer to these as Peace
Councils. |

We
train members and community leaders of the Peace
Councils at the provincial level in listening
skills, negotiation, mediation, peace building
frameworks and conflict resolution strategies.

We
support those shura members to set up district and
village level councils to pass on the skills amongst
all levels of the community. |

We
facilitate exchange visits between provincial level
peace councils to learn from one another. |
|
5 |
We
provide on-going support for 3 years to each
project. |
