The Research and Advocacy department aims to carry out studies into violent conflict and its causes, adding to our knowledge and understanding of how we can more effectively prevent conflict and build a lasting peace in Afghanistan. We have extensive experience in the field,  and we want to share that experience by using it to  influence and advocate for positive change to improve Afghan lives.

The focus of our research is Peace and its impact on development, security, political processes and justice. The purpose of our research is to inform and influence policy and practice at national and local level.
